The Canine Core Program is a strength and balance program to improve your dog’s over all mobility and quality of life. It is not a an obedience class or a time for socialization with other dogs. In order to attend, your pet should know basic obedience commands such as sit, stay and down. Your pet should also be comfortable with other dogs and people. (Please describe any behavioral issues below. In some cases, we may be able to accommodate)
This program is designed to have the pet owner fully involved and active during the class. You will be working and touching your dog. You will be required to kneel, sit on the ground and handle your dog while helping them perform new and unfamiliar exercises. It is important that you are physically capable to do so.
Class size is limited to 4 participants per class. Classes are initially scheduled for Thursdays at 7 and 8 pm.
Classes will be taught by Tod Miner, PT CCRP of Arfit Dog Therapy Chicago.
Each Class is $40. (Packages are available). Payment is due at the beginning of class.
Items required for class:
- Proof of vaccinations for: Rabies, Bordatella and Lepto.
- Small soft treats your pet loves for reward and motivation.
- A harness with a handle on the back to help with holding and handling your pet. ( harnesses will be available for purchase if you prefer ).
